Certified Flight Instructor Certification PDF  | Print |  E-mail

helicopter-instructorThe Certified Flight Instructor Certificate is an important bridge for that 200 hour pilot to the commercial world. Despite having a Commercial Certificate and Instrument rating, most pilots find that commercial operators are looking for pilots with at least 1000 hours. The way to build hours to that magic mark is to instruct. Commercial operators know that the way pilots hone their flight skills and increase their knowledge is through instruction.

Ridgeline has developed a complete CFI ground course consisting of seven formal lessons coupled with informal study groups. These lessons are designed to prepare you for not only your check ride but beyond your check ride. The lessons cover fundamentals of instruction (FOI), endorsements, how to put you CFI binder together, lesson outlines, and of course teaching.

The student must obtain a Commercial certificate prior to obtaining the Certified Flight Instructor certificate. The cost of the CFI certificate does not include the cost of the Commercial certificate. Flight instructors will need 200 hours in order to instruct in the Robinson R22 helicopter.
